It all started with one bad glass of vodka
Our founder Jan, an experienced Eastern European restauranter, tried glass after glass of many different vodkas. None of them tasted how he remembered traditional Polish vodka should. Not willing to settle for ordinary, he set about making his own.
Ingredients from the heart of Poland
Great vodka needs great ingredients. The first thing Jan did was source only the finest rye, wheat and grain and fruits from Poland's orchard region, Sandomierz, famous for fruit growing since Medieval times.
Reviving a famous distillation method
With ingredients sourced, the next step was finding a distillation method that could recreate the Polish vodka Jan remembered. No modern methods could achieve such a feat, so a 19th century process famed for producing some of the world’s best vodkas was revived.
